How do I restart my iPad or iPhone?

When your iPhone or iPad isn’t working the way it should, chances are it may need a restart. Similarly to how your Mac works, your iOS device sometimes needs to be turned off and back on again in order to clear application memory and restore full functionality. It’s a great way to begin troubleshooting with any issue, whether it be trouble connecting to Wi-Fi, unresponsive apps, or even issues mirroring with your Apple TV.

How to restart your iPad or iPhone:

  1. Press and hold the Top (or Side) power button until the slider appears.
  2. Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
  3. After the device turns off, press and hold the Top (or Side) power button again until you see the Apple logo.
