How do I restart my iPad or iPhone?
When your iPhone or iPad isn’t working the way it should, chances are it may need a restart. Similarly to how your Mac works, your iOS device sometimes needs to be turned off and back on again in order to clear application memory and restore full functionality. It’s a great way to begin troubleshooting with any issue, whether it be trouble connecting to Wi-Fi, unresponsive apps, or even issues mirroring with your Apple TV.
How to restart your iPad or iPhone:
- Press and hold the Top (or Side) power button until the slider appears.
- Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
- After the device turns off, press and hold the Top (or Side) power button again until you see the Apple logo.
